MEMBERS DRAW

A Member on course could win $50 000! But you must be here to win! 

A great extra incentive for WRC members to be at Trentham! 
All you have to do is scan your Membership card to tell us that you are on course then you could win $50,000!

Simply scan in on arrival before Race 2 using your Members card (not guest card) either at the office prior to Race 1 or there will be a roving scanner through the Members stand between Race 1 and 2.
The draw with those scanned & registered will take place after Race 2 and the winner notified via the loudspeaker system then must present themselves prior to Race 3 to the race day office.
The Member must then correctly choose the winners in 4 selected races at Trentham (determined by the WRC) at least 15 minutes before the first chosen race.
If all four selections are winners, the member will take home $50 000 ! 

THE ANNUAL SANTA RACE

The fourth annual Trentham Santa Run is ready to go and we would love you to be part of it! 

Race against other Santa's, come out on top & win a $150 hospitality voucher for you & your support team to enjoy!
WHEN IS IT? After Race 3 we will send our Santa's to run on course. Make sure your support team is at track side & cheer them on!
WHAT TO WEAR? Santa Suits or Mrs Claus outfit is a must!
HOW DO YOU DO IT? Register your Santa by Thursday 4th December 5pm by emailing races@trentham.co.nz with "Santa race" in the subject line and we will then email you all the details you need to know.(Event numbers may be limited so be quick to enter)

THE BREEZE CHRISTMAS CAPER

LOCATED IN THE OAKS ROOM, 1ST FLOOR ANNEX BUILDING

The Breeze Christmas Caper is a great place to be for your Christmas Party. Your MC will keep you entertained throughout the day and there are prizes to be won plus there is a big screen in the room and access to the Members stand to ensure the racing is never too far away. 

Treat yourself or your group to a seat at a shared table or bring the whole team taking a table for 10 within the Oaks Room.

Located in the main forecourt

 Christmas is a time to celebrate with some festive cheer & what better way to do that than in the Christmas Cheer Mini-Marquee Village.

Located between the Public and Members Stand on the forecourt, you are in the heart of the action on the day. A snack platter will be delivered to you after race one with a picnic-style lunch to follow. Your location with views of the track is a bonus.

Relax on the lawn next to the track within the Trentham Christmas Lawn. Offering the public lawn experience that you love, but with the space to get yourself a drink & a seat for the day, all while being so close to the action.
Located on the at the northern end of the public lawn you will have non-reserved tables &and chairs while avoiding the queues, plus your own private bar & betting facilities ensuring you are part of the action.

 TRENTHAM BOASTS A NUMBER OF PRIVATE INDOOR VENUES FOR YOU TO HOST YOUR GUESTS THIS CHRISTMAS. 

Your own Christmas themed room features private TAB betting facilities and TVs plus doorstaff to manage entry into your function room.

Our team will work with you to help make your day at Christmas at the Races the best day possible. We can arrange jockeys and trainers to visit as well as some expert tips for the day for your guests, adding that special touch to your day at the races.

Function rooms are allocated on a first come first served basis and reasonable space expectations. Ensure your preferred area is reserved by booking early.

A minimum of 60 guests is required.

BRINGING YOUR OWN PICNIC OR SHELTER

Non-alcoholic drinks may be bought in to the course, however with the following restrictions:

-No glass bottles
-Only sealed and unopened plastic containers, or empty containers of less than 2 litres capacity that may be used as refillable water bottles are permitted.
-Empty thermos' are permitted with boiling water available in both "the Vines" and "Winning Post"cafes
-An guests bringing any opened or glass containers will be asked to return them to their vehicles if possible or confiscated and destroyed. 

Food may be brought in to the course for consumption at any public location (Public lawn, open bleachers in the Public Stand, public seating in forecourt etc) however is not permitted in the Public stand, Members Stand, Annex or any other hospitality area unless specifically stated.(Note BYO Food is permitted in the "Trentham Lawn" hospitality area)
-Chilly bins are permitted but must be opened for inspection on entry
-BBQ's are not permitted to be brought on to the course.
-Glass /china/ ceramic plates are not permitted

Shelter items such as cabanas may be erected on the lawn in front of the public stand (no further than 10m from the concrete walkway) with a maximum size of 3m x 3m and no walls. Please note that due to safety or consideration for others, any structure may be asked to be removed by course security. We do ask for consideration for others if erecting a shelter.

GETTING TO TRENTHAM

By train

Leaving central Wellington every 30 minutes (5minutes past and 35 minutes past the hour), approx time from City to Trentham is 40 mins. Return trains to Wellington from Trentham also leave at 5 minutes past and 35 minutes past the hour.Click here for Metlink timetables.
All trains will be stopping at departing from the western platform at Trentham (Ararino Street). Access to the course is to the south and across the pedestrian link in line with Camp St, Granville Street, then along Racecourse Road.
The total distance is approx 600 m compared to the approx 300m via the Trentham overbridge which is unfortunatley out of commission. Metlink are providing additional transport to and from Trentham Station on Ararino Street to the Racecourse entrance on Racecourse road for patrons with mobility concerns.

By car

Trentham Racecourse is located on Racecourse Road. Public parking is available on Racecourse Road and surrounding areas. Members, Owners, Jockeys & Trainers are invited to park in the Leger Car Park at the Northern end of the course (100m past the turnstiles on Racecourse Road. Click here for Google Maps
