Having your company name included as part of a race name is a very cost effective way of seeing your company promoted to a very wide audience.
Television
All races are covered live on free-to-air Trackside Television, which has a weekly audience of 250,000 people. The predominant profile of these people has been determined as aged between 20-45, male, European and moderately affluent.
Radio
As with the television, all races are covered live on Radio Trackside. All race names would receive a minimum of three individual mentions in the leadup to, actual running of, and summary, of the race.
Print media
It has been calculated that a race name will be repeated at least 200 times nationwide in print media in the lead up to and reporting of a race meeting. This is of course significantly enhanced in the Wellington area for race meetings at Trentham.
Race information sheets at all TAB's and Bars
All race information sheets printed by the TAB carry the sponsor's name for each race. These sheets are distributed throughout the 400 TAB agencies and sub-agencies throughout the country, as well as being placed on the racecourses of all racing venues being used that day around NZ.
Oncourse race books
The day's oncourse race book will carry a full page black and white advertisement for each sponsor of the day. These advertisements can be as complex or simple as you wish. Race book sales on race days vary between 1,500 and 10,000, depending on the day.
Oncourse announcements and ticketing
The oncourse announcer at Trentham Gardens will mention the name of the race sponsor a minimum of four times in the lead up to, calling of, and wrap up of a race. Additionally, in the 40 minute period prior to the running of each race, all betting tickets oncourse will feature the name of the next race's sponsoring company
